Citing Pressing Healthcare Needs for Better Early Stage Design, Engineering, and Technical Validation. Seeking to address the soaring demand for solutions to the world-wide healthcare crisis through accelerating the introduction of better technological solutions, Global Interconnect, Inc., a leading provider of custom engineered medical devices today announced the appointment of Dr. Steven S. Brooks, M.D. M.B.A. F.A.C.C. as the company’s Chief Medical Officer.

Announcing the appointment, Stephen R. Bates, Founder and CEO said, “We know that the biggest challenges in bringing these products to market often occur in the earliest stages of development, and as a result, we have decided to add significant capacity to our team with the introduction of a Chief Medical Officer to assist our customers in various aspects.” Bates continued, “Finding Steven Brooks to join our team was a turning point and we trust our customers will recognize this the minute they meet him. In Steven Brooks, we have found an imminently qualified medical doctor who thinks like an engineer and has spent years, not only in the field working with medical device companies throughout the full product life-cycle, but also at the FDA as a medical officer in the pre-market review practice.  We could not imagine a better combination of skills and talents to add to our team and bring to our customers.”

Global Interconnect, a US-Asia design, engineering, and manufacturing firm with a primary focus in electrosurgical devices is thrilled to have found an individual of Dr. Brooks character and achievements. The addition of Dr. Brooks responds to the need for medical device companies to more effectively consult on the minutiae of development and its many challenges.

Dr. Brooks will be writing a monthly blog for GII customers providing them with essential information in medical devices as well as conducting monthly webinars for clients on clinical and regulatory issues. Dr. Brooks will work seamlessly with GII engineers on design execution, product testing, as well as consult with GII customers on the regulatory process.
